Budesonide

Indications/Uses

Seasonal & perennial allergic rhinitis. Treatment & prevention of nasal polyps.

Dosage/Direction for Use

Adult & childn >6 yr 2 applications into each nostril once daily, may be reduced to 1 application once daily.

Special Precautions

Monitor for signs of hypercorticism, suppression of HPA function & growth suppression in childn especially in excessive doses or long-term treatment. Reduced liver function. Pregnancy & lactation.

Adverse Reactions

Dry nose, sneezing, nasal stinging, slight haemorrhagic secretion, epistaxis, skin reactions, throat irritations, increased cough. Rarely, mucous membrane ulcerations & nasal septal perforation.
